Update: This offer is expired. You can find the current offer details here.
There are three excellent credit card offers expiring today. Just a few quick reminders regarding these:
- The offers are often pulled before midnight ET/PT, so if you’re interested in any of them I would recommend applying as soon as possible (I have to pull most of my links mid-afternoon, for what it’s worth)
- The terms of the Starwood American Express offer state you not only have to apply by today, but also have to be approved by today in order to qualify, so you’ll want to apply ASAP for that card
- The Chase Freedom® really should be a no brainer for anyone, given all the benefits of keeping a no annual fee credit card long term, not to mention the ability to combine these points with Ultimate Rewards points, if you have the right cards
These are the offers expiring today:
Sign up bonus: for a limited time, earn a $200 Bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening; earn a $25 Bonus after you add your first authorized user and make a purchase within this same 3-month period; no annual fee
Why this is a great card: This is a fantastic no annual fee credit card which is also rewarding. Keeping a card long term is in the best interest of your credit score, since it increases the average age of your accounts. Beyond that you earn 5x points in rotating quarterly categories, for up to $1,500 in spend. This quarter one of those categories is dining, so the first $1,500 in dining expenses earn 5x points.
In conjunction with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Ink Plus® Business Credit Card or Ink Bold® Business Charge Card, these points can also be converted into “premium” Ultimate Rewards points, transferable to any of their transfer partners.

Sign up bonus: earn 20,000 award miles after your first purchase or balance transfer; earn an additional 30,000 award miles when you spend $5,000 in purchases within the first 90 days of account opening; $79 annual fee
Why this is a great card: Lufthansa Miles & More miles are great for travel in Lufthansa first class (since they block this space to partner airlines up until ~15 days before departure). This bonus also gives you enough miles for three one-way tickets within the US in United two cabin first class or three cabin business class.
Book Lufthansa first class in advance using Miles & More miles
Sign up bonus: 10,000 Starpoints after first purchase; 20,000 Starpoints after spending $5,000 within six months; $65 annual fee, waived the first year
Why this is a great card: Generally the Starwood American Express has an increased 30,000 point sign-up bonus once per year around Labor Day, though this year it seems to be back earlier. It’s worth noting that you can also earn 5,000 Starpoints for referring someone to the card:
If you’d like to help me out (more than you’re already doing by gracing me with your readership and company), you can send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and which card you’d like (personal or business), and I’ll get back to you ASAP with a link through which you can apply.
