Hi Lucky,
I have a quick question regarding Starwood status challenge. We have stays starting from the end of January (25th) till the first week of April (7th). The nights add up to 18. So I decided to sign up for the platinum challenge. But I am dealing with starwood’s terms and conditions now. As per your blog and many other blogs I was under the impression that one has to complete 18 nights in a 90 day period. But Starwood is saying that if I sign up on January 24th (the day before our travel), they would consider the entire month of January. That means I have to complete the challenge by March 31st. Even if I try to find cheap nights to complete the challenge then I am stuck with Starwood status only through Feb 2017 (as against the entire 2017).
Can you actually verify that it is a 3 month calendar period and not 90 days and even if one completes the 18th night on March 31st, the status is valid only till February 2017. Thanks a bunch!

I tried calling yesterday and today and their only answer is “It’s a 3 month challenge and not 90 days”. However one agent said she will call me back with concrete answers confirming that and also till when will the status be valid if I complete the challenge on March 31st.
