New Air New Zealand Sports Illustrated Safety Video

For anyone that hasn’t seen it, Air New Zealand just unveiled their latest safety video, which is filmed with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models in the Cook Islands:

Here’s some behind the scenes footage of how the safety video was produced:

You’ve gotta give Air New Zealand credit for their creativity when it comes to safety videos. Their most recent one featured Betty White, the one before that featured Bear Grylls, and one before that even featured Richard Simmons (I’m still not sure how I feel about that one).

What do you guys think of this Sports Illustrated one? Love it or hate it?

  1. Couldn’t they at least throw the gays and girls a bone and have some shirtless rugby players in there for good measure? This is like a beer ad from the early nineties.

  2. @Lucky, way to make me feel old. How bout we split the difference and nominate Zac Efron for the next video?

  3. Shirtless rugby players isn’t the equivalent. Surfers in Speedos might be closer. Make the guys squirm.

  4. Even without SI swimsuit models, the videos actually made me very interested in visiting Cook Islands so I guess mission accomplished for Air New Zealand :) About $2,2xx-2,3xx RT in J from LAX according to ITA.

  5. That’s one way to ensure people watch the safety video!! We Kiwis make the best vids (in my humble opinion.)
