Virgin America offering up to 25,000 bonus Elevate points for travel through December 31, 2013

Virgin America is running a two-part promotion for Elevate Members that fly between September 10 and December 31, 2013.

First, they’re offering double base Elevate points on paid First Class and Main Cabin Select bookings. The catch here is that travel has to be flown and booked between September 10 and December 31, 2013.

They’re also offering tiered points bonuses based on how many total qualifying points you earn between September 10 and December 31, as follows:

Virgin America has a revenue based frequent flyer program, and you ordinarily earn five base points per dollar spent, so the above amounts essentially equate to $500 to $5,000 of spend.

It’s worth noting that the bonus points do count towards elite status in the Elevate program, so those are pretty sizable bonuses given that you need just 20,000 points for Elevate Silver and 50,000 points for Elevate Gold.

Not a bad promotion, but I doubt there are many people that fly Virgin America this much…

Registration is required prior to travel.

Comments

  1. You’ll earn 10pts/$ for F or MCS fares so $2500 in Spend on those gets you GOLD + 50,000 RDM worth $1000-1100. So not a bad rebate if you fly paid F between the West Coast and JFK.

  2. Does anyone know if Elevate points can be used to travel on SilkAir? Or do they have the same restrictions as *A partners looking to redeem via SQ?
