Up to 2,000 bonus Starpoints per Le Meridien stay through February 28, 2013!

Starwood is offering bonus points for stays at Le Meridien properties in North America and French Polynesia between December 3, 2012, and February 28, 2013. They’re offering 1,000 bonus Starpoints for the first stay, and 2,000 bonus Starpoints for each subsequent stay. Registration is required by January 15, 2013, and the bonus points should post 2-4 weeks after the qualifying stay. You can find the full list of participating hotels here.

Combined with one of the regular quarterly promotions this could be quite a lucrative deal. The Le Meridien San Francisco has a $149 Travelzoo rate, for example, which should be eligible for this promotion.

  1. Wow…it’s worth paying $150 per stay in SFO just to earn the 2,000 points. Even with tax, that works out to less than a penny per Starpoint, with practically unlimited earning potential!

  2. @ Jon — Okay, maybe I’m not thinking clearly today, but can you explain your math? You sure you’re not thinking under 10 cents per point or confusing the bonus for 20,000 points?

  3. I received a “bonus beginnings” email with lucrative offer:
Earn 4,000 bonus Starpoints per stay — up to 12,000 bonus Starpoints.
We’d like to see you again soon. Here’s a great offer to keep things going: Register by January 31, 2013, then complete a stay between December 1, 2012, and February 28, 2013, and you’ll receive 4,000 bonus Starpoints® per stay — up to 12,000 bonus Starpoints.

Check out, and then check in to, any of our more than 1,100 hotels and resorts across nine brands — including W®, Le Méridien®, Westin® and Sheraton®. Clear your calendar and start packing. We can’t wait to have you back. Below is the link which will show your offer: http://www.spgpromos.com/bonusbeginnings/?EM=DM_TN16630_BonusBeginnings_BB02_1stay_ENG&uid=1211135LKB1D

  4. if you stack all the current promos, as well as being plat and using an amex spg (and getting plat amenity), you can get the cost per point down to 2.5 cents, by my calculation, at a $99 rate. For next weekend, Dec 14-15, the Le Meridien Arlington (by the Rosslyn Metro stop in Arlington, VA) is running a $99 rate 😀

However, I’ve already qualified plat this year, and I’m not sure it’s worth booking stays just to earn the points. FWIW, 2.5 cpp is less than the 2.8 cents that SPG is current selling points for. I hope there’s a half decent Q1 promotion, because this could be a good way to get a start on requalifying plat next year.

  5. Lucky,
If I’m staying 3 nights in a Le Meridien and book each night separately, are they counted as 3 stays and would I get a 6000 point bonus? I’m pretty sure not but thought I’d check…
    Thanks!

  6. @Murtuza,
I tried to register following your link but got rejected:
…”We’re sorry to tell you, you’re not eligible for this offer.

Sorry for any misunderstanding. Check out spg.com/offers for other amazing offers.”…

Looks like it is only for targeted client. I stayed at Starwood in Jan and Feb to earn my platinum status. After 6 months absence, Starwood sent me a promotion of 2,000 bonus pts for my stay and I completed one night stay in Oct to combine the 2000 pt plus double pts promotion (plus foursquare app check in’s 500 bonus pts).

Did you stay away from Starwood for many, many months so that Starwood gave you hefty bonus to get you back?

  7. @stacey,
if you stay consecutive nights at the same hotel, they wil count as only one stay regardless of check-ins and check-outs during these days. Every hotel has the same policy.
