As I just posted about, the Starwood American Express is sponsoring a giveaway for 50,000 Starpoints in conjunction with the increased sign-up bonus on the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Personal and Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Business cards through September 4, 2012. This is the post in which you can enter the blog giveaway.

Simply leave a comment on this post about which Starwood hotel you would redeem 30,000 Starpoints at, and how many free nights you could get using those points.

  3. @ Christoph — You can win 50,000 points but the question is what you’d do with 30K points (the amount of the sign-up bonus).

  4. Not to be too repetitive, but considering Thailand is my favorite country in the world and I’ve yet to go to Chang Rai, I actually might use 30k starpoints for 12 nights at the Le Meridien Chang Rai!

    It is 3k/night. That gets you 10 nights. Then for every 4 nights you get 1 free. That gets you another 2 nights.

  73. I’d treat myself to a night at the Tambo del Inka Resort & Spa in the Sacred Valley of Peru after I finish hiking the Inca Trail in October. As a category 4 property, 30,000 miles could get me 3 nights, but cash+points would only be 4,000 miles +$60/nt, a much better deal in my opinion.
