1,000 Destination Miles for completing a British Midland survey by February 28

Through February 28, British Midland is offering 1,000 Destination Miles for completing a quick survey about your travel patterns. The survey only takes about five minutes, and upon completion there’s confirmation that the miles should be credited within 40 days.

Get those Destination Miles before they turn into Avios!

  1. I received this email as a BD*G.

Sadly if you weren’t targeted with this email, it’s unlikely you’ll get the miles. Still worth a try I suppose.

  2. @ Dave M — The last time one of these emails was sent out others seemed to receive the points as well, and there’s nothing indicating that it’s only for targeted members, so…

Then again, this is Diamond Club, so I suppose as always YMMV.

  3. BMI can keep their survey and their miles. I did not like a while back when they downgraded me to blue status after offering free silver status, which is what I signed up for. So, I cancelled my account and will not bother with them ever again!

    BMI, remember this?

We’re pleased to see that you recently joined our Diamond Club frequent flyer programme. However, I’m writing to you because unfortunately the link you used to join was an exclusive by invitation only offer and as noted in our terms and conditions was non transferable.
Regrettably, we will not be honouring the Silver status, and over the next few days your account will be downgraded to Blue status. Our decision is final, and we won’t be entering into any further correspondence on this. On a positive note though, our frequent flyer programme is one of the most generous programmes around, and you only need to earn 16,000 membership status miles to earn a Silver membership. When you fly with us, or any of the Star Alliance airlines, you’ll reach Silver status in no time at all. You’ll also have access to all our offers and promotions, as well as being the first to hear about our great sale fares. We hope you’ll still enjoy the benefits of your Diamond Club membership.
    Regards

  4. @ jcmitchell21 — In theory absolutely, though there aren’t really any terms and conditions associated with the survey, so they may or may not give those points to you.

  5. I haven’t been following BMI- are they in fact being taken over by BA so BMI’s miles will become Avios?
    Thanks.

  6. Very strange survey, given their predicted future. “The Star Alliance network meets my full air travel requirements” as an answer to one of the questions!?

  7. Most of the previous ones haven’t actually posted the bonus miles unless targeted as Dave M says. Always worth a try just in case though, just don’t expect them.
