Amazing Travelzoo rate at JW Marriott Khao Lak

I book a ton of award tickets for clients to Phuket, and they often ask for hotel recommendations.

The JW Marriott Khao Lak (about an hour from Phuket — I stayed at the neighboring Le Meridien last time I was there) has an amazing Travelzoo deal for the next two days. They’re offering vouchers for the JW Marriott for $89 per night, with a three night minimum. They can be redeemed for March through October (yes, it’s the rainy season, but it really isn’t that bad!). You can buy as many as you’d like, and don’t have to decide when you’d like to stay till you actually make the booking.

This hotel is typically ~$200USD per night, so this is an amazing deal. But wait, there’s more. 😉

You also receive two hour-long massages, free breakfast, free wifi, and a two-for-one cocktail voucher.

If you know you’ll be in the area, this is one of the best deals I’ve seen in a long time.

  1. The Quan Spa at the JW Marriott is awesome! I also stayed at the Le Meridien, but visited the spa at the JW next door.

One of my all time favorite hotels was the JW Marriott Phuket. So I imagine this one is just as nice.

  2. That’s a really nice rate with or without massage. If I was planning a trip to the area I think I might invest a little more and spring for a private pool villa. Amazing the deals that are out there if you know where to look.

  3. I did this EXACT SAME promo last year, when it was $100/night. Totally worth it. I stayed 8 nights and even then it was a great deal. I will be booking again!

  4. Thanks so much for the heads-up. I’m heading to Thailand later this year and wanted to stay at the JW Marriott Kho Lak. Dates happened to work out and this is a better deal than even the deep discount MMP rate.

  5. I stayed here last Thankgiving from the previous Travelzoo promotion and really enjoyed it! The only difference with the last promotion was that it was a $100/night and included a dinner for 2 instead of the 2 for 1 drink voucher.

Particularly enjoyed the Mountain Bike tour that you can take from the resort as well as heading about an hour south to Phang Nga bay for a kayaking tour through the islands. Also, don’t be afraid to walk down the beach to some of the local off-site restaurants…they had great food and drinks for AMAZINGLY reasonable prices.

  6. @Jon: If you want the EQN’s you’ll need to pay ~ $200 a night + $250 for the two massages etc. I’d rather save $1,200 right off the bat on a six night stay and say to hell with the points game this time around. Use that money for another stay at the next JWM or RC.
