Excellent job. I think you should send this clip to Clooney's production company. You'd do well in "Up In The Air 2: Hard Landings" (the sequel), in which Ryan Bingham, now semi-retired, is stirred back into the Frequent Flyer world when he encounters a brash young newcomer who considers Ryan's FF exploits "old school". With Amy Adams as the love interest.

    Lucky,

Did they comp you for a night for that minibar show/interview? Hey as you mentioned Hyatt Diamond, are you a Hyatt too?

I like when you mention about 2 stay at the Hyatt Place for $70/night and redeem a free night at the Park Hyatt which run for $600/night because I just love that deal.

When I first watch you came out of an elevator I thought I saw a Matt Damon for a second. Good job anyways!

    Thanks for the comments, folks!

@ Pat -- The whole interview took a bit over an hour and the final cut is about two minutes, so as you can probably imagine I discussed more than just the minibar and the other "gimmicks."

@ Gene -- Yep, IC Barclay.

    Nice job, Ben!

@daringdoo - Haha! She must have been disappointed after he explained what a mattress run really was... Got her bitter enough to draw the waste of money comment.

  5. Daringdoo Guest

Nice! I distinctly saw a smirk on her face when you said "Mattress Run" :)

Speak the good word, MoiMoi. You're the only one smart enough/posesses enough critical thinking skills to see beyond the gimmicks these sheep buy.

    Thumbs up.

I loved it - nice job! Funny how Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott aren't really listed among the various hotel options when the brands scroll by. :)

Yes! Five stays at your local hotel so you can get access to a free minibar which has a total content value of $13.87!

    That *is* a good deal!

    Well done! Best performance.

    Not interested. Hey, you asked...!

Haha, no, I'm looking forward to checking it out when I get home. Way to represent man!

    Mini Bar Shot.... Classy ;)

Well done on getting a BBC spot (if they can ever be bothered to show FastTrack on News24 - more a BBC World thing...)

Very cool Lucky. Hope to see you share your knowledge with the TV community more often!

Excellent. Now you need to sit down with Richard Quest!

That interviewer must have been about 40 yrs old. Lucky can do better than that.

I like that profile of hotel loyalty programs. BBC gave much more time than I have ever seen a US broadcast give to the topic.

    Waste of money? Right.

Waking up in the Point Lobos Suite yesterday at the Hyatt Highlands Inn was not a waste of my money. Perhaps the drive to the Hyatt Place Dublin and Hyatt Regency Santa Clara for a weekend last month was a waste of my time, but the...

Waking up in the Point Lobos Suite yesterday at the Hyatt Highlands Inn was not a waste of my money. Perhaps the drive to the Hyatt Place Dublin and Hyatt Regency Santa Clara for a weekend last month was a waste of my time, but the $170 I spent for two hotel nights to earn a free Highlands Inn night was certainly not a waste of my money.

Good interview lucky. BBC has great programming.

Yikes, green screen fail at 3:22. Looks like his image is being projected by R2D2.

Well done Ben! Is this maybe the start of more on-screen exposure?

Great job Ben! Which hotel is that? IC Barclay?

I love the "money wasting comment"! Sounds like my mother...

Great job! Although I would have liked to see that suite in a wide shot. Personally, I am more interested in the room than the minibar, although I understand the attraction of that to some. Maybe it just ended up on the cutting room floor? All in all, a good glimpse into hotel loyalty programs and may well drive more viewers to your blog. Congratulations!

That's awesome... congrats! You did a fantastic job. You should've asked out that interviewer, though. ;)

I love their music selection with your interview. And whats with that suit? ;P

I fear that every travel-related video for the next decade is going to have those same clips from Up in the Air
