Sheraton offering free nights at renovated US properties

On October 6-9, Sheraton will be offering the chance to win a free night at one of their 86 renovated US properties. It looks like they’ll be giving away thousands of rooms, so this might just be worth participating in. Stay tuned till October 6.

  1. Some of the Sheratons that I have stayed in recently would HAVE to be free for me to stay there again. I have stayed at the Sheraton EWR, Long Island and Kansas City (Stadium area) in the last four months. All of the properties are run-down pretty bad – AC didn’t work in all of them, for example – and I don’t think a cosmetic renovation is going to cure the ills of these properties.

I love the SPG program – and consider myself fortunate when I can get a decent rate at a good property ($139 on Travelzoo right now for the W Seattle, for instance!), but Starwoods, across the board, have become too inconsistent to be my primary hotel loyalty program.
