The ultimate Priority Club irony?

I’ve posted in the past about Priority Club playing games when it comes to posting points to accounts, even on flexible rates booked through Well, a couple of weeks ago I had a stay at the Holiday Inn JFK courtesy of United, thanks to a bump I took. Shockingly enough my stay posted as a qualifying night and I received points, and nearly 7,000 of them at that. Thanks Priority Club! It’s funny, because at check-out I had about $6 worth of incidentals I really wanted them to charge to my credit card because I figured it would trigger a stay credit, but they refused to charge me.

What’s most shocking is the online receipt. United paid $140 for this stay, not including tax. Ouch!
