The ultimate Priority Club irony?

I’ve posted in the past about Priority Club playing games when it comes to posting points to accounts, even on flexible rates booked through priorityclub.com. Well, a couple of weeks ago I had a stay at the Holiday Inn JFK courtesy of United, thanks to a bump I took. Shockingly enough my stay posted as a qualifying night and I received points, and nearly 7,000 of them at that. Thanks Priority Club! It’s funny, because at check-out I had about $6 worth of incidentals I really wanted them to charge to my credit card because I figured it would trigger a stay credit, but they refused to charge me.

What’s most shocking is the online receipt. United paid $140 for this stay, not including tax. Ouch!
