Now on flickr!

I’ve always been a fan of Flickr, although never had the willpower to start uploading pictures there, since I use Photobucket at the moment. Flickr just has much more of a “community” feel to it and a much cleaner look, which I like.

Well, my friend Megan, who always takes incredible pictures and posts them on Flickr, finally convinced me (and was generous to boot). I’ve started uploading my pictures to Flickr, although I’m still working on descriptions, tags, etc. Anyway, I’d love to see more people’s pictures, so if you’re on Flickr feel free to add me as a contact. I’ll also try to update my pictures as often as possible to reflect my recent travels.

My photostream can be found here.

  1. Any thoughts as to whether or not it’s even worth tagging pictures? I’m not trying to become a world famous photographer (my pictures are mediocre at best), but rather just host photos for friends/FlyerTalkers/etc. to see. The tags seem rather arbitrary, so I’m considering just adding a title and description for each picture.

  2. It’s easier for you to find pics if you tag them… since the only ways to organize pics on flickr are through sets / collections / tags. 🙂

  3. the tags would probably be more for your convenience. Like if you tag all the ones from united as “united” etc, you could search them more easily?

    Also, friended

  4. Thanks for all the advice, both via the comments section as well as via email! I’m starting to get the hang of this, and wish I had found out about the “Organizr” area. That makes it a *lot* easier. I now have most of my pictures tagged and also have descriptions for each pictures. I’ll keep working on it, so feel free to continue providing feedback.
