  1. This is the email I got from CX.

    Dear imm2b,

Cathay Pacific is proud to launch ‘I Can Fly’, a program that
offers high school students the opportunity to step behind the
scenes of commercial aviation and explore various careers in
this exciting industry. We provide a 9-week Academy that meets
once a week to help them explore various careers in aviation.

Through a series of field trips, lectures and hands-on
exercises, participants will learn everything about aviation
from engineering to inflight catering, and even meet real
    pilots and flight attendants.

The program is provided free of charge to high school students
in the San Francisco Bay Area. Applications are being accepted now.

    Visit:

Please feel free to forward this email to a high school
    student you may know.

  2. This is an emulation of a very successful program that Cathay Pacific offers in Hong Kong. I hope the “I Can Fly” USA program will be as successful as the one offer in Hong Kong!

  3. I can’t believe they’re doing ICF again for 2009, but this time in SFO! Big step from the HKG program, especially them shortening it from months to just 9 weeks.

By the way, I’m in the photo on the side where there’s a group of students standing in front of the F.O. =) (the photo’s from ICF HK 2007-2008). it’s a great program for anyone that is interested. I’ve learned so much in those few months, not to mention going to ADL’s Flight Training Adelaide for a test flight!! (sponsored by CX) That feeling of flying on your own, AMAZING! =D
