Quick update

Hey Guys,

Sorry for the lack of posts. I’m just at the SFO RCC awaiting my flight back east after a great weekend in Hawaii. I’ll be posting a report with pictures of the trip as soon as I get a chance, but I have to run shortly so will work on it during my flight.

The crews both ways were incredible, some of the best (and most senior) I’ve ever had. Sadly HNL-SFO was two hours late, so I misconnected my SFO-ORD-IAD-TPA routing, and am now booked on SFO-ORD-TPA, not only losing out on miles, but also losing out on international business and extra EQM’s.

I’m hoping they need volunteers and I can get a bump, but I’m not all that hopeful. More to come soon.

  1. But won’t you have the option of asking for credit of the original routing from the 1K desk since they re-routed you on alternate path? Not sure if you’d get the EQMs but if they’re willing to give you original route RDMs then it seems to me the EQMs will follow suit. That just leaves the seat issue and there ain’t nothing to be done about that….

  2. Correct, wasn’t really thinking about it at the time but I should get original routing credit, so I’ll call Mileage Plus as soon as my miles post.
