I referenced this in an earlier post when I was discussing my trip to Malta, but figured it was worth its own post. I’m a firm believer in the saying “if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.” Well, Priority Club has an ongoing promo (despite the fact that the webpage states its only good through April 30, 2008) whereby you can get two nights for the price of one. No, I’m not talking about the free weekend night certificate that Ambassador and Royal Ambassador members get, but a free night any day of the week under certain conditions.
The major fine print is that you pay the flexible rate for one night and then get two nights for that price except it’s not refundable, but if you have firm plans that shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Also, this doesn’t apply to all hotels, but there are quite a few that participate, especially in Europe where US travelers are getting hit especially hard with the conversion rate right now.
Like I mentioned earlier, we’re staying at the InterContinental Malta and paying $200/night all-in (less than 130 Euros) for a paid panoramic club room which will be upgraded to a suite thanks to Royal Ambassador status. That’s a pretty good deal right now, and this works at plenty of other properties, so consider giving it a try!
