May’ll be a month filled with stories

Well, after spending the past several weeks “grounded,” May looks to be a month filled with flying for me. Below you can see a map of my planned travel. While it might seem innocent on the surface, that’s probably because of the repetitive nature of my flying, since I’m doing the same itinerary three times. All in all I’ll be earning 43,475 elite qualifying miles, which means at least 86,950 redeemable miles, although probably more. To see my full routes click here.

While I haven’t done quite this much domestic flying yet in a month, I’m actually quite looking forward to it. For me travel, even domestic, is enjoyable. I enjoy the suspense, mystery, and just overall excitement which very few people get out of flying nowadays. Even though I’m mostly flying the same routes, every flight is different, be it due to an interesting seatmate, a weather delay, a go around, a mechanical, an amazing employee, an awful employee, a moronic TSA agent, catching up with someone an old friend, running into an FA I know, etc. While I’ll probably be tired by the time the end of the month rolls around, I can’t wait!

While most of my posts lately have been about the industry as a whole I’m sure I’ll have plenty of stories to share in the month of May, so stay tuned!
