Purchase Priority Club Points and Receive a 10% Bonus

OK, before people start saying “Lucky, are you crazy? You know buying miles directly from the programs is always a rip-off!” Well, for the most part that’s very true, but a rare exception is Priority Club, and it definitely doesn’t make sense for everyone even with PC. They have a great award opportunity called “PointBreaks,” which has certain hotels available for only 5,000 points a night, compared to the normal 30,000-40,000 for Intercontinental properties, as well as the normal 15,000+ for Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn properties. While they don’t have any great options right now as far as I can see, they have had many Intercontinental properties on the list like the IC Bangkok, IC Berlin, IC Bali, ANA IC Tokyo, IC Wellington, and many more. You can find the full list of current properties available under PointBreaks here, although they’ve definitely seen better days.

So back on topic, PC points bought in quantities of 10,000 to 20,000 points are available for one cent per point. That basically means that a PointBreaks stay at an IC would only cost $50, an amazing deal for those that wouldn’t have points without buying them. So add 10% bonus points to that for nothing and some people are looking at quite a deal. While this definitely doesn’t work well for everyone there are some people that should definitely take advantage of this. This offer is available through April 14 here.

  1. I’m a huge fan of buying PC points and PointBreaks. ZQN CP and CHC HI Pres Suite for 50 bucks. You betcha! Too bad there’s a 20k per year cap, but I understand why it is so.
